Change and Rejuvenation within Discipline

Are you feeling the shift in this season? I have been drawn to continue my fasting on Mondays and Thursdays, which have been rejuvenating. Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, advocated fasting on Mondays and Thursdays. It is voluntary, and I love it when I can fast as a way to get closer to God to be more aware of every word, thought, and action. It is also good to give and serve more on those days.

Fasting and giving more to those who can benefit is a way to serve. But also giving to yourself through taking time to plan your day so you can have a smooth flowing day filled with activities that empower and inspire is also way to give. You are a sacred temple and caring for yourself, taking quiet moments to have extra communication with God and internalizing thankfulness throughout your day will definitely rejuvenate the heart, body and soul.

When climates change it is essential to practice your wellness rituals even more!

For the last two weeks, I have been eating more living fruits and vegetables from 11 am to 7 pm and including healing energy drinks.

Here is one of my favorite recipes!

Pineapple Lemon Ginger Drink:

(Get all organic ingredients)

1 cup of pineapples

½ juice of lemon or lime

A chunk of sliced ginger

½ cucumber

16 ounces of water/coconut water

Blend ingredients as a refreshing drink before you eat or drink anything else in the morning. It is packed with nutrients and cleansing properties that your body will love. In addition, it improves our digestive system's functionality and helps dissolve fatty acids to reduce waste.

It will give you energy!
